This fine art, acrylic painting is a piece I created in my cabin in Chesaw, close to Oroville, Wa. in 2009. My love of birds and wild flowers kept me engaged to paint this piece.

My Favorite painting so far....

Here is MY favorite painting, I did in 2007, I have created so far. I love the subtle huges in the trees and grasses. The house is so inviting too. Someplace I would live or visit. I painted this with just a picture of PEACE in my head. No pre-concieved notions....or places. I could be anywhere, on any autumn day.

I guess I should paint like this more often, as it produced a wonderful result. Ever have one of those days when it ALL comes together...I like it when it does as it makes things flo smoothly....onto the canvas. Trees, Flowers, Rocks & water....all things I like to paint. My teacher, Marsha Bell, from Oroville, Wa says she likes the trees too and overall feeling.

This is an ACRYLIC painting, just like all the other I have done so far. I will try some oils as everyone says it "moves" differently on the canvas.

It reminds me of somrwhere in a far off land....who knows where....if this looks like someplace you know...let me know....I might just have to rename this painting. This is one of my favorite paintings. I started it in 2009 and it was fun while I was creating.  This is something I just painted from my head...no photo or picture, just something I dreamed up. The photo here is an azalea in my yard. It caught my eye this spring because of the beautiful colors I saw coming out of it. When you look deeper into the flowers you see 4 -5 colors. Pink, blush, magenta, wine, etc...etc... Then you see the same thing in all the greens, browns, golden tones...RICH, fun....exciting. A photo like this makes me want to use all these colors in something fun. THAT painting is yet to emerge from within me...but it will come. I am getting the urge to paint...right now as I write this. See you later on more BLOG posts...in the future. I will post painting, quilts photos, etc..all things I love to create.
